New CEO named at Chorus

AJ Schreiber, of New Jersey, has been named president and chief executive officer of Chorus succeeding Eric Holzberg who departed on February 1 after helping Chorus through a period of transition over the past two years.

Schreiber, a 15-year veteran in the Healthcare Technology Industry, has served as Chorus chief operating officer since 2006. His appointment is effective February 1, 2008.

Prior to joining Chorus, Schreiber headed the RSM McGladrey, Inc. (formerly American Express Tax and Business Services) Healthcare Technology Consulting Practice where he led healthcare organizations of varying sizes and stages of development through the information technology strategic planning, system selection and implementation processes.

"We are excited to have AJ step up to this new role," said Julio Bellber, President and CEO of RCHN Community Health Foundation. "His talent and personal qualities, as well as his background and knowledge of the CHC delivery model will allow for a seamless transition."

As chief operating officer of Chorus, Schreiber has been responsible for all Chorus operations including Development, Product Management, Quality Assurance/Testing, Training & Implementation, Customer Service and Support, and Technology Infrastructure.

"AJ's prior experiences at Chorus, as the Chief Information Officer of a large HMO and as a consultant to regional healthcare organizations make him exceptionally well qualified. AJ understands customers' IT needs and issues," said Bellber . "Given AJ's leadership skills and his focus on customer support and service, we have the utmost confidence in his ability to bring Chorus to the next level and to ensure that the technology needs of health centers are met."

Schreiber received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Yeshiva University. He and his wife, Leah, have two children.

Established in 1995, Chorus is a healthcare IT firm whose mission is to provide integrated software solutions and services that meet the clinical and management information needs of ambulatory health care organizations. Chorus is owned by two CHC-related organizations, Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) and the RCHN Community Health Foundation. Chorus is led and staffed by community health veterans who share a commitment to both customer service and to HIT research and development.
