Press Releases

CHORUS is new name for MDSERVE

Chicago, IL, August 28, 2006 - Eric Holzberg, President and CEO of MDSERVE, Inc., Houston, TX and New York, NY ("MDSERVE") announced today that the company has completed a rebranding initiative and will now identify its products and services with the CHORUS brand name.

"Our new brand name, 'CHORUS', and our new tag line 'Working Together' were chosen because they reflect our commitment to work with Community Health Centers as a technology partner to help evaluate their technology needs and capabilities and then help plan and implement an affordable technology solution, customized to their business requirements," Holzberg says.

"Now as never before, maximizing access to health services and delivering high-quality care means leveraging information to make better, smarter clinical and business decisions. In today's fast-paced, rapidly changing healthcare environment, that can ultimately only be achieved through the use of sophisticated technology," and, Holzberg states, "CHORUS can help."

Chorus integrates a suite of proprietary and third-party products and services that work together to provide an optimum combination of infrastructure, core applications, reporting and business intelligence tools, and information delivery systems The applications supported include practice management, claims processing, and electronic health records. CHORUS delivers the tools to deliver key information to the right person at the right time, and that teach people how to use technology effectively.

Commenting on the announcement made at the 2006 National Association of Community Health Centers ("NACHC") Annual Convention and Community Health Institute in Chicago, Julio Bellber, President and CEO of the RCHN Community Health Foundation, Inc. New York, NY, stated, "The RCHN Community Health Foundation's technology vision is to provide community health centers with access to the affordable technology infrastructure needed to provide clinical care and support operations, customized to address their unique operating needs. We believe that CHORUS is very well positioned to provide essential technology products and services to community health centers, and are pleased to support the company in this venture."

Established in 1992, as a healthcare software development firm devoted to medical practice management applications, MDSERVE increasingly focused on the unique scheduling, billing and reporting needs of community health centers.

Following its acquisition by Practice Management Ventures, LLC ("PMV"), in December, 2003, MDSERVE became the first healthcare software development firm to be completely owned by community health centers. At the same time, the firm announced that it had formed a long-term partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers ("NACHC") and NACHC's affiliate, Community Health Ventures, to deliver the Technology Support Program (TSP™) which is dedicated to providing technology applications and services tailored to the CHC market. NACHC President and CEO Tom Van Coverden comments, "CHORUS is a well-capitalized technology services company, dedicated exclusively to helping community health centers get the benefits of health information technology. It is a program offered by health centers, for health centers."

Today MDSERVE, Inc. is a leading provider of software and services for the community health care market, serving clients throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
